Rubber Jaw
Essex three piece Rubber Jaw make a sophisticated art-rock far exceeding the sum of their parts. Comprising lingering vocals, claustrophobic beats, weeping digital guitar effects and synthesised basses the band are an engaging live act with front man Michael Hemmings offering heartfelt vocals over the processed guitars of he and Ross Connell in front of Archie Mann’s inventive drumming and triggered synths. The trio have to date released a pair of singles on the Creation 23 label - headed by industry legend and Creation Records boss Alan McGee (Oasis, Primal Scream, Teenage Fanclub, My Bloody Valentine) and head to Latitude Festival 2019 as one of BBC Introducing in Suffolk’s picks.
