Sandcastle Jesus

Sandcastle Jesus are looking to put the Essex music scene back on the national map. Made-up of Charlie Jenkins (lead vocals/guitar); Alfie Buddery (guitars); Fran Larkin (backing vocals/bass) and Will D’Arcy-Jones (drums), the band may be songwriters way beyond their teenage years but their subject matter is not.

Unrequited love, getting into fights, social media, and drinking are all there in their first three music offerings to the world, the Left Knocked Out EP, recorded with producer Michael Hemmings in the summer of 2019.

Michael, who himself plays with local heroes Rubber Jaw, signed to Alan McGee’s Creation label, was impressed with the band's approach to music making, taking their raw indie riffs, melodies, and street smart lyrics and spinning them into classic indie rock gold.

Inspired by the likes of The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys and The Smiths, the EP has already been picked up by BBC Introducing getting several airplays.
