The greatest band of the New Wave of British Punk Rock – FUK. Featuring members of Bristol legends CHAOS UK, amongst others, FUK are a 1000% two fingers in the air punk rock kick in the guts and if you miss them you’ll regret it. Their new album may well be out by the time this gig comes around, but in the meantime, here’s a song from their last record: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTD_8RKhX6Q
THE DOMESTICS
These purveyors of East Anglian Hardcore seem to have played everywhere EXCEPT Ipswich over the last couple of years but now they’re back and have had their new album released on TNS Records / Kangaroo Records back in August 2017 to a great reception. Mixing up elements of classic and contemporary US hardcore (OUT COLD, POISON IDEA, KOWARD) with some Japanese (think GAUZE) and Swedish HC elements to create a sound all of their own. Here's a track from their 'Brutal Regimes' 7": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zjd7oUajWMY
GUILT POLICE
Last time GIRL POWER (same band as GUILT POLICE with the same songs - it;s just a name change!) played in Ipswich they sold every single copy of their demo that night. Now with a 7” E.P., a 12” on James Domestics’ Kibou label, a split 5" record on False Profit Records, a new drummer and a string of gigs behind them they’ve come back for round two. A smashing, powerful mix of fast ‘n’ slow from this Oxford bunch. You will not be disappointed.
Young Ipswich band influenced by all the right things (BLACK FLAG, MINOR THREAT, DEAD KENNEDYS etc.)...don't be late, you don't want to miss 'em! Here's their nice raw demo: https://conparty.bandcamp.com/album/con-party-demo?t=3
