"Psychedelia so utterly intense that it feels as if the universe is about to collapse." The Quietus
Lonker See is a psych/jazz/experimental quartet from Tricity, Poland. Consisting of guitar (Bartosz Boro Borowski) sax, electronics (Tomasz Gadecki) bass, vocals (Joanna Kucharska) and drums (Michał Gos), this music is full of space and has a lot of room for improvisation. Based on long forms, the band uses time to play with dynamic and groove. The band debuted with "Split Image" (2016, Music Is The Weapon), followed by split record with ARRM (2017, Instant Classic). In 2017 "Lonker Seessions" were released (a double album consisting of live material and lost sessions).
Next album, “One Eye Sees Red” was released in April 2018 by Instant Classic and has achieved critical acclaim in Polish media and enthusiastic global reviews. Following the success of the album, the band has been touring most of Europe, both on local and festival stages, including Primavera Sound Festival. Currently Lonker See is promoting its newest album "Hamza", released by Antena Krzyku on 7th February 2020.
