Brighten The Corners is a free weekender festival from The Smokehouse Presents, as part of the Welcome Back Weekend supported by Ipswich Borough Council. A weekend of live music at St. Stephen’s Church including a mixture of DJs and local, regional and national bands!

ABOUT THE ARTISTS / STAGE TIMES
Bull - Friday 9.30pm
Bull’s mission is simply to make the music they wanted to listen to, inspired by their 90’s heroes such Pavement, Yo La Tengo and the Pixies.The rest of the band came together through a mix of friendships and happenstance.
Anna’s Bones - Friday 8.30pm
Anna’s Bones, from Manningtree, are a newly formed quartet comprising of singer Rebecca Simmonds, Ben Brown, Krista Lynch and Peter Moore. Their sound is an experimental alternative rock.
Collars - Friday 7.30pm
Cambridgeshire duo Dan and Kane are indie driven by vocals, guitar and pared-back drums. Kane plays guitar and beats at the same time thanks to some drums he's engineered to play with his feet.
Shunaji - Saturday 5pm
Shunaji is an award-winning producer, rapper and singer-songwriter based in London. As a producer, she is inspired by electronic music, trip hop and hip hop and blending synth sounds.
Prima Queen - Saturday 4pm
Alternative-rock female fronted band Prima Queen combine nostalgic lyrical imagery with a gritty, bittersweet sound with influences of escapism.
Noon Garden - Saturday 3pm
British born with Jamaican and Nigerian roots, Flamingods member Charles Prest creates exotic disco-funk psychedelia influenced by 10 years of globe-trotting and island-living.
Bessie Turner - Saturday 2pm
Suffolk’s own Bessie Turner returns to her hometown, playing originals with a strong essence of girl-punk and passionate yet angelic angst.
Soundscape Green - Saturday 1pm
Producer Forrest Moon and wordsmith Rye Shabby make up Soundscape Green, a UK based hip-hop duo using jazzy and ambient beats alongside rich lyricism.
SUDS - Saturday 12pm
The four piece indie band from Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire boast delicate vocals with Brit-pop-esque guitar riffs.
