Belated Reopening Party! With Steve Davis & Kavus Torabi / Maria Uzor

  • The Smokehouse 6 South Street Ipswich, England, IP1 3NU United Kingdom (map)

Unfortunately Soccer96 have pulled out of tonight's show due to covid. However, the party goes on and to stand in we have Steve Davis & Kavus Torabi DJ set - that's right, the legendary snooker player that is Steve Davis!

We are gutted that Soccer96 can't play tonight, but we are determined to get them back soon! We're still planning on partying tonight - expect cocktails, wood-fired pizza, outdoor DJs, and support from the brilliant Maria Uzor of Sink Ya Teeth.

All tickets are refundable via See Tickets.

Steve Davis & Kavus Torabi - Steve Davis, one of the greatest snooker players of all time, was always a serious vinyl collector, and in recent years he's began showcasing this incredible music knowledge alongside fellow DJ Kavus Torabi (who's been a lynchpin of the alternative music scene for many a year). Expect an inspiring genre-spanning DJ set from the duo -  a set impossible to narrow down but effectively across the board - weird and left field Prog Bangers with Quality Electronic and top end Techno slung into the mix!

It's going to be a real trip.

Very limited tickets on sale now. Tickets are £25 which includes pizza plus two drinks! https://bit.ly/SHPsoccer

This gig is our Belated Reopening Party after being closed for 18 months due to the pandemic. As a celebration the ticket price will include free pizza and two free drinks at the bar!

For those who bought a ticket as part of our crowdfunding campaign, we’re looking forward to celebrating with you!

Support comes from electro-soul artist Maria Uzor - one half of Sink Ya Teeth, and DJ Ben Horner.

A new Soccer96 album is a chance for Danalogue (Dan Leavers) and Betamax (Maxwell Hallett) to return to something of a spiritual creative home. Between them, the keyboardist and drummer have become synonymous with the thriving London jazz scene and, in their mind-bending incarnation as the astral synths-and-drums pairing, they’ve traversed stylistic worlds. Listen to their new album here.

Doors from 6pm.
